2024 County and Township Property Tax

Tax payments can be placed in the drop box located at the located at the main entrance vestibule of the Administration Building or sent by mail. Check or money order will only be accepted. Send a self – addressed stamped envelope to have receipt returned.
An outside drop box is now available for tax payments. The Red drop box is for tax payments only. The box is located along the sidewalk near the handicapped parking area and is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If you would like a receipt please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope.
County/Municipal Taxes are mailed out in February of each year, while School Taxes are mailed out in July. Not receiving your tax bills does not excuse you from paying your taxes that are due. It is the responsibility of the property owner to insure that your taxes are paid.

Employer Withholding Taxes
The Dallas Township elected Tax Collector is only responsible for collecting Dallas Township, Dallas School District, Luzerne County and Dallas School District
Pennsylvania Act 32 became effective January 1, 2012 and requires all companies doing business in Pennsylvania to collect local Earned Income Taxes (EIT) on employees who are residents of Pennsylvania including individuals who work from their homes in Pennsylvania. The EIT is collected by a countywide tax agency and Luzerne County’s tax agency is Berkheimer Tax Innovations Inc.
All employers located in Dallas Township are required to withhold a Local Services Tax (LST). The LST is $1 per week and should be remitted to Berkheimer Tax Innovations Inc.
